Guillory and daughter, Betty, of Grand Coteau, motored to Opelousas Monday afternoon to visit relatives. Professor J. Buell Aycock, who has been attending summer school at Louisiana State University, returned to Opelousas Saturday to join Mrs. Ay-cock, and they left Sunday for Franklin where Prof. Aycock has accepted a position as Principal of the High School there.

Master Joseph Aycock of Franklin left Sunday for his home after spending some time at the home of Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Fields.

and Rosa Lucille, left Tuesday morning for a trip to New Orleans for a few days. Miss Elsie Bonvillain of Houma was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. M. A.

Fields on Sunday. the Louisiana Oil Company resigned his position with that company and will go to work for the Texas ternoon. LVly decorations filled the lovely rooms. The following: ladies were there: Mesdames L. M.

Lafleur, Coy Williams, George Bridon, Inez Edwards, Harvey Weir, A. L. Lacombe, Gilbert Mistric, Henry Las trapes, Leo Mayer, Richard Conover, Harold Lastrapes and Mrs. Dietlein. First prize was won by Mrs.

Gilbert Mistric, second by Mrs. Coy Williams and third by Mrs. A. I Lacombe. Delicious refreshments consisting of punch and sandwiches were served after bridge.

The next hostess to the Stocking Club is Mrs. Inez Edwards. Mrs. Louis Shaf er and baby of New Orleans are the guests of Mr. and Mrs.

Frank Del Buono for a few weeks. Miss Anita Richard of New Orleans Is visiting Mr. and Mrs. W. C.

Dejean and family of near Church Point Willie Littell returned this week from New Orleans to be here with his parents, Dr. and Mrs. B. A. Littell until school opens at Tulane in September.

Judge and Mrs. Winston Overton and daughter, Cecil, of New Orleans, were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Mistric on Thursday. They returned to New Orleans Friday.

Mr. and Mrs. Cooper Manning and son, Bobby, of New Orleans were guests of Mrs. Leo Mayer last Wednesday. Mrs.

J. P. Barnett Hostess Mrs. Lucy Mizzi and family motored to Grand Coteau Sunday to visit relatives and friends. Mrs.

John Smith and family of Grand Coteau were guests of Mrs. Smith's mother, Mrs. Lucy Mizzi on Thursday. Messrs. Morris Hi sen and Walter Sanders left Sunday evening for a trip to New Orleans.

Fred Bordelon of Ville Platte visited friends in Opelousas Sunday. Leon Haas, returned home Monday night from Madison, Wisconsin, where he has been attending summer school Miss Mina Stubbs motored to Char-enton Sunday night to attend the dance. Miss Marie Voorhies, accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lewis and Mr.
